May AGM and Board Meeting Highlights

On May 23, 2009, members of the SYRCA board gathered in Saskatoon for the Annual General Meeting followed by a board meeting. These are some of the topics discussed.
Annual General Meeting
- Founding member, Marion Perry, resigned after 8 years of distinguished service to the SYRCA - Willow Awards.
- Three new board members were elected: Bev Bjornson-Kowalchuk, Deborah Jackson and Charlene Leaderhouse. Jocelyn Mark Provost became the SLA rep in March
- The election of officers was held
Board Meeting
- A review and discussion of ongoing tasks, timelines and board members' duties took place.
- Recruiting for a vacant director position would continue.
- The 2009 Launch was discussed and a Launch committee was struck. The Launch will run during October, with the submission deadline in November.
