Pierre, an agility-winning poodle, escapes from his owner's motor home. Once away from the daily grind he befriends stray dogs and dazzles them with his agility. However, another pack of bully strays try to entice Pierre into their gang. Eventually Pierre and his "underdogs" save an old man's life. The old man befriends the "underdogs" and takes them to live with him.

I have been writing for most of my life, starting with picture books at the age of four. I wrote my first (and so far, only) novel, The Prairie Dogs, in high school, but it wasn't published until recently. The dogs in the story are based on real dogs I have known, and on the imaginary adventures of my childhood toys. The prairie setting was inspired by the small Saskatchewan towns where I grew up.

I work as a Catalogue Technician for Wapiti Regional Library in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. I used to work in television, but I decided I liked books more than TV. My friends think I want to work in libraries so I can stock their shelves with my own books.

When not writing, I spend my spare time reading, camping, hiking, skiing and practicing yoga.
