Earth to Audrey

Ray is having a boring and lonely summer until he meets Audrey, a strange girl who sends signals with a kite, trains grasshoppers, and lies very still on the ground looking up into the sky. Ray is convinced Audrey is an alien, but as he follows Audrey around the town, he finds out things about his planet that he never knew. Audrey and Ray share some wonderful escapades and Ray is amazed at the world he sees through Audrey's eyes. We rejoice in Ray's imaginings but wonder if Audrey really is an alien or just an ordinary little girl who is feeling alone. In the end Audrey gives Ray a gift more precious than gold.
