Leon, also known as Thumb, lives in a B.C. fishing village perched on the edge of the mountains right next to the ocean. They want to see the big city so they devise a plan to get to the city by starting a baseball team. Perhaps they can get in a tournament that is being held in Vancouver. They have big problems. There is no space large enough for a baseball field in their small town, no one has ever played baseball and there are no other teams to play against. With a lot of planning and some help from grown ups the team finally gets to Vancouver to play in a tournament. Now they have to worry about how to play the game?
