Leo Yerxa’s poetic perception of horses shows the strong connection horses have with First Nations’ cultures. Just a bit of text per page contrasts to the art portrayed in patterns on native shirts and dresses designed on homemade paper resembling real leather. Beautifully illustrated and written.
