Contact Lynn Blaikie

Lynn Blaikie was born in Southern Ontario and moved to the Yukon Territory at the age of eighteen. In the small mining community of Elsa, she discovered the art of batik. She fell in love with the medium and practiced in isolation, far from other artistic influences. Employing both the traditional vat dyeing methods with inks and pens, Lynn creates works of art that are known for their exuberance. Lynn's work hangs in government and private collections in Canada, Europe, the United States, and Japan. This is her first book for children.
