Alma Fullerton is the author of two other YA novels, In the Garage and Walking on Glass. She was born in Ottawa, Ontario, into a military family who moved to Comox, B.C. when she was 12. She now resides in Midland, Ontario, with her husband and two daughters, juggling real life with her passion for youth literature.

I think Libertad is a wonderful novel. Alma Fullerton did a great job on writing Libertad. I wish to meet her one day, and possibly get her autograph. She is a wonderful author and has become one of my favourites. 8D
